Dearest RaMa LuNa Community:
I hope you are well, carving out some time for self-care and finding balance during this busy holiday season. I’m writing to communicate some important changes to RaMa LuNa:
Inquiry. Connection. Community. Exploration. Practice. Creativity. Gratitude. Service.
These are the Core Values of RaMa LuNa that draw us together time and time again, whether it be virtually or in person. These values have brought us through a pandemic and now they will guide us through our next phase…
This past August moved our physical studio space to 62 Washington St. This new location brought many benefits: an elevator, a larger space with higher ceilings to accommodate a growing aerial practice, and a convenient location just off Main St. However, we have encountered numerous problems along the way, some of which are a normal part of a big transition, but many of which were indicators of larger problems behind the scenes. The most disruptive issue has been a lack of heat, which has been a persistent, unremedied problem since mid-October. If you have practiced in-studio with us in the past two months, you have likely experienced the very chilly temperatures and the deafening clanging pipes. As we move into winter, is clear that we simply cannot stay in this location. We care too much about our community to ask you to practice in a space that is not sufficiently heated.
To that end:
the 5:30am Get Up & Go Flow class on Tuesday, December 21 will be our final class 62 Washington St.
So where do we go from here? Here’s some important information to help the transition:
-
All autopay memberships have been suspended as of today, December 19, 2021.
-
If you still have unused membership classes or unused single or classpack classes on your account, purchased between 6/1/2021 and 12/18/2021, you may use them anytime over the next three months at Peaceful Chaos in Cromwell, which is just 2.5 miles away. The owner, Jeannine Marron, is a gifted yoga instructor and business owner who has graciously agreed to welcome our teachers and clients alike, so that our RaMa LuNa community can remain together. She is committed to recreating the RaMa LuNa class schedule to the best of her studio’s availability, which will complement the already robust Peaceful Chaos class offerings. I believe in the mission and values of Peaceful Chaos and believe that the pivot from RaMa LuNa to Peaceful Chaos will be smooth. To pivot your remaining classes over to Peaceful Chaos, please reach out to Jeannine. www.peacefulchaosyoga.com
-
Our aerial classes are paused until further notice.
-
Peaceful Chaos offers classes in-studio and online. I hope that their convenient formats will pave the way for you to remain faithful to your practice while continuing to support a small, local, female and mom-owned business.
-
RaMa LuNa is closing its physical studio, but is not ending as an entity. After this extraordinarily challenging ordeal, I feel a deep need to rest and reflect...but will reconnect with you all afterwards.
I wish you a joyful holiday season. I look forward to reconnecting in 2022 in new and transformative ways.
Kindest Regards,
Rachel

RaMa LuNa hosted me for a mediumship gallery reading, and I was so impressed with the center that now I am back as yoga client! I took my first aerial yoga class and I’m hooked. Rachel is a wonderful, encouraging teacher!
