Aerial Yoga Basics

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of aerial yoga, such as how to transition into and out of the aerial silk (hammock) safely, how to effectively use the traction and compression of the silk to get deeper into familiar poses, as well as to experience fundamental floating and inversion poses in the silk.  This class, especially when taken repeatedly, is designed to take the fear out of being suspended and to enjoy the fun that aerial yoga has to offer!

Aerial Yoga Flow (high)

After you've gained the fundamentals of aerial yoga in our Basics class, the Aerial Flow Class is the next logical step!  Learn how to transition fluidly from pose to pose and deepen your aerial repertoire with some fun, new poses!  This class brings an opportunity to deepen both your floor and aerial yoga practices with greater flexibility, strength and balance.

This is NOT an advanced class; however, it is necessary to have taken at least 3-5 Aerial Basics Classes before registering for this class.

Aerial Yoga Flow (low)

This class has all the fluidity of its high-hammock counterpart, but with the hammock low to the ground.  A wonderful way to move, stretch, align and breath, without being far off the ground.  Perfect for all levels.

All-levels Yoga Flow

During this vinyasa flow class, you will breathe, focus, move, stretch and balance. This is a heat-building practice that emphasizes moving with your breath while building strength. The safety and comfort level of each student is of the utmost importance; as such, the use of props and modifications when needed (to accommodate any injuries, limitations or conditions) are encouraged.  Beginners and yogis of all-levels are welcome.

Bik-RaMa (75 min.)

A creative fusion of Bikram Yoga (the “original hot yoga”) and Vinyasa Flow, curated by two of RaMa LuNa’s most experienced yoginis.  This 75 min. practice blends the discipline and structure of a Bikram practice with the creative flow of Vinyasa.   The best of both worlds!  Studio is WARM (but not hot).  All levels welcome.  Offered on a rotating basis.

Candlelight Flow & Restore

We start with a cozy, candlelight yoga flow, adaptable for all-levels of experience, and then melt into restorative poses for the latter portion of class.  This practice will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated to start the weekend off right!

Gentle Yoga

A calming, stress-relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. Asanas (poses) are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail. Recommended for all levels looking for a soothing, relaxing, and restorative experience, especially those newer to yoga or working with special concerns or injuries.

Go With the (aerial) Flow

Sometimes the hammock will be set high...sometimes it will be set low...you just gotta go with the flow!  Perfect for all levels.

Kids' Aerial Yoga

Is your child a climber, a little monkey, or a ball of energy? Allow them to put their creative energy to good use at an aerial yoga for kids class. Aerial yoga features the use of silks suspended from the ceiling to give your child the feeling of safe, weightless flight. Participation in an aerial yoga class has many benefits for children of all ages, from the development of social skills to neurological and developmental benefits. RaMa LuNa's Kids' Aerial Yoga program focuses on providing these benefits to your child in a fun, friendly environment.

Midweek Unwind with YIN

Yin Yoga places focus not on the opening and flexibility of our muscles, but instead on our often-restricted and overlooked system of connective tissue, such as fascia, tendons, and ligaments, especially in the lower body.  With consistent practice, Yin yoga allows a freedom of movement and energy flow. Postures are approached with cold muscles and the help of props, and are held with focused breath for 3-5 minutes before switching sides. "Flows" of postures (such as vinyasa) to heat the body are not used.

With consistent Yin yoga practice, chronic pains and restrictions of movements may resolve and open, and automatic responses to daily stress have an opportunity to be shifted and honed. This deep practice has a powerful effect on both our range of motion and our nervous system that is well worth consistent weekly practice!

*Note: Due to the nature of connective tissue work and the hormonal changes in the body that influence connective tissue, this practice is not appropriate during pregnancy.

Pre- and Post-natal yoga

Your yoga practice should change in preparation for, during, and after pregnancy.  Experience the fundamentals of prenatal yoga all while developing and strengthening emotional and physical connection with your baby. We will find the beginnings of motherhood through rejuvenation and body unification. It is a practice uniquely designed for all stages of pre and post pregnancy. It focuses breathing, stamina, pelvic floor work, restorative poses, and core strength. Prenatal Yoga can help you become more resilient during and after pregnancy.

Offered occasionally in 6-week series format.  If you're interested in joining a series or want to know more, feel free to contact us!

Restorative

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice that allows the body to open at its own pace. Using props for support, we hold relaxing poses for a long time without effort or force. This allows the body to relax deeply while the mind rest.  Coupled with the gentle glow of the tinkle lights and candles, this class is pure bliss.

Strong & Slow Yoga Flow

This all-levels flow class meets you where you're at.  Whether you're a seasoned yogi or getting on your mat for the first time, this class offers modifications, demonstrates how you can use props to enhance a growing yoga practice and slows things down so you can achieve the best alignment and form possible.

Sunday Surrender

Allow your entire being to release as you journey through this fusion of deep connective tissue work, as found in traditional Yin Yoga, where poses are held for 3-5 minutes in order to target the deep connective tissues, increase flexibility and open the meridians of the body.  Then a relaxing restorative sequence will softly unfold your body with the support of props to ensure complete relaxation into the postures.  Candlelight and soft music will complete this blissful sensory experience.  Come away feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and restored.  No yoga experience necessary; appropriate for all levels.
